Volunteer Recognition

We have several volunteers who are deserving of special recognition this fall. In addition to our wonderful EEA board working hard to sell Ducks for the Race and Pluck, Irene Gregory has put in many hours gathering prizes and helping to put the Duck Race and Pluck all together. She also puts in many hours growing, harvesting and drying plants for the Dried Flower festival. Thank you Irene!

Charlotte Omohundro is also working hard in her Michigan home to grow, gather and dry many of the lovely flowers for the Festival. she has engineered this event for 25 years! Thank you Charlotte!

Thanks also to the Senior Studies and Biology Honors Interns. These young people from Evanston Township High School volunteer time at the Ecology Center as part of special curriculum requirements. Senior Studies students come at specific times for several months and Interns sign-up to work at programs, events and break-camps to experience what a career in environmental studies and education might be like. They are a valuable and much appreciated group of young people!

Critter Crew
If you and your child would like to come one day a week to help feed our adopted pets, you can be on the Critter Crew! Click here for details.

If you're not sure you want to get quite that involved, you can simply sponsor a critter. Click here for more information on making a critter-specific donation to help underwrite the cost of their care and feeding.

Our programs require a lot of preparation, and we're looking for people who would like to help prepare materials for our programs while enjoying the company of others.
